Golf Outline

 

 

 

Overview

This unit is designed to introduce student to the sport of golf.  The students will be introduced to the basic stance in golf as well as the basic strokes of golf, driving, chipping, and scoring, this will introduce students to a physical activity outside of the traditional team sports, an activity that they can do themselves

 

 

 

Learning Objectives Rubric

 

 

 

1)    Students cannot properly place themselves in relation to the ball and are bending at the waist

2)    Students can place themselves properly in relation to the ball but are still bent at the waist.

3)    Student is able to use the basic strokes in game play

4)    Student is able to use basic strokes in game play and keep score.

5)    Student is able to use basic strokes in game play, keep score and apply a strategy.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Assessment

 

 

 

 

 

 

40% Active daily participation and appropriate attire

20% Written test

40% Demonstration of the above skills
