Invasion game tactics and concepts
This unit will introduce and reinforce tactics and concepts that are common to all invasion games. Concepts such as creating space, closing space, offense, defense, passing, and scoring. Tactics such as feints, passing and scoring lanes and zone or man-to-man defense these tactics will be explored through invasion games of floor hockey, basketball and team handball and indoor soccer.
Learning objectives
- Student will move to open space while on offence
- Student will close space while on defense
- Student will choose the best pass or shot for that situation
