 Overview

This unit is designed to introduce student to the sport of Lacrosse.  The students will be introduced to the basics skills of lacrosse, throwing, catching, cradling, and game play this will introduce students to a new team sports that involves physical activity and is outside of the traditional sports.

 Learning Objectives Rubric

 

 

 

1)    Student is unable to catch or throw in a controlled environment. (teacher fed balls)

2)     Student is able to catch and throw in a controlled environment. (teacher fed balls)

3)    Student is able to catch, throw and cradle.

4)    Student is able to catch, throw and cradle in game play.

5)    Student is able to catch, throw and cradle in game play and apply a strategy

Assessment

40% Active daily participation and appropriate attire

20% Written test

40% Demonstration of the above skills
