Criteria: Open to students who have been accepted to a post secondary undergraduate program and will be based on financial need and initiative. Deadline: May 1, 2008.

 

Criteria: Available to anyone continuing their education in nursing, education or the ministry. Applicants affiliated with the United Church of Fairfax will be given first consideration. Deadline: May 1, 2008.

 

Criteria: Entering or returning students at accredited undergraduate institutions in the United States. United States citizens or resident aliens. Permanent resident of a New England or Mid-Atlantic State. Academic Excellence and Aptitude for studies. GPA 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale). Be enrolled in a demanding course of study. Demonstrate skilled writing ability. Demonstrate a desire to make a meaningful contribution to society both present and future. Be involved in a balance of community and school activities. Earn money for college expenses through part-time work. Pursue goals and aspirations with integrity, resolution, self-discipline and judgment. Financial need. Deadline: May 1, 2007.

Criteria: This $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a student for his/her first semester of their sophomore year of college. Students applying must meet the following criteria: a graduating high school senior, first generation college student, attending a college in Vermont, with the intention of remaining in Vermont after college. Community service and/or volunteer work will be given strong consideration. Deadline: May 1, 2008.

Criteria: Graduating from an area high school or technical school in 2008 with plans to attend college or professional theatrical training program beginning in September of 2008. Involvement in theatre through Lyric Theatre Company, school productions, or other area theater companies. Demonstration of continuing interest in the performing arts. Educational/career goals that relate to the performing arts (theatre, music, dance or technical theatre. Deadline: May 2, 2008.

 

Criteria: legal resident of either the Town of Fairfax or the BFA Fairfax School District, and have lived in Fairfax for one year prior to the start of your educational/training experience. Open to BFA-Fairfax students, home-schooled students, and adults in career transition. Must be a US citizen or eligible non-citizen. Deadline: May 9, 2008.

 

Criteria: Must be accepted at a college for the 2008-09 academic year. Two letters of recommendation, short essay.  Award is based on financial need, academic potential and well stated career goals. Any omissions will deem the application void. Deadline: May 15, 2008.

 

Criteria: Involvement in school and community activities, financial need. Deadline: May 15, 2008.

Criteria: Student must reside or has resided in Fairfield, Vermont and who will be graduating from high school and will attend a post-secondary school. Deadline: May 15, 2008.

 

Criteria: Applicant must be a member of the St. Albans Co-op farm family or a St. Albans Co-op farm member employee’s family. Applicants must be graduating from high school or currently enrolled in a post-secondary education. These include colleges, universities, and trade schools. Applicants need not be studying agriculture although special consideration will be given to those applicants who do pursue an agricultural career. Deadline: May 19, 2008.

 

Criteria: This scholarship is available to residents of Franklin County pursuing higher education, including vocational education and trade school at a post-secondary level. Scholarship recipients will be selected based on academics, leadership, character, expression of need (if applicable), and the overall application presentation. Special consideration will be given to residents of Fairfield and applicants pursuing agriculture, forestry, or a related field of study. Deadline: May 21, 2008.

 

Criteria: Senior girl attending BFA-Fairfax, involved in school and community activities. Willingness to go the “extra” mile. Deadline: May 25, 2008.

 

Criteria: Education major in college, accepted as a full-time student at a 2-4 year college. Application questions. Sponsored by the Fairfax Education Association. Deadline: June 1, 2008.
