Bellows Free Academy is a public school that provides educational services for grades pre-kindergarten through twelve. Our approximately 970 students attend classes in the same building. We are located in Fairfax, Vermont, a community of approximately 4,500 that is 25 miles north of Burlington, Vermont. Our students come to us from Fairfax and the surrounding towns of Fletcher and Georgia.

Did You Know?
Act 166 provides publicly funded Pre-Kindergarten for children between the ages of 3 and 5 who reside in the town of Fairfax, Vermont, effective July 1, 2016. Publicly funded Pre-Kindergarten education is defined as: 10 hours per week for 35 weeks of developmentally appropriate learning experiences that are based on Vermont's Early Learning Standards and are delivered by qualified teachers in an approved setting. Pre-Kindergarten education is limited to the academic year.

FWSU Bus Driver (0.52 - 0.54 FTE)
The Franklin West Supervisory Union is seeking bus drivers for hourly, school year positions. Basic responsibilities will be a daily am/pm bus route, Monday – Friday, 3.25 - 3.5 hours per day, for a total of 16.25 - 17.50 hours per week. BFA Fairfax Car Driver (Part-time, hours vary)
BFA Fairfax is seeking a car driver for hourly, school year positions (hours vary). Basic responsibilities will be to transport students to and from school in a school-owned vehicle. For more information call Patsy Parker at 849-2068
Genesis, BFA Fairfax's arts magazine is filled with poems, stories, and digital photos from students in grades 7-12.
Vermont Then and Now is a work of BFA Fairfax's Vermont Literature class. In it you will find five students personal visions of their state conveyed in poetry, narratives, essays, oral histories and photos. They hope you enjoy reading it as much as they enjoyed making it.
